Bible Verses for Mother's Day

Happy 1st Day of May! The countdown to Mother's Day begins. What a blessing it is to be a Mom and have the great responsibility to love, nurture and raise children. Proverbs 22:6 teaches us to, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." I'm forever grateful for my Mom and Grandma who taught me about Jesus and made sure I went to Sunday School.

They taught me how to pray, develop a relationship with the Lord and search the scriptures for answers to life questions. Now, my husband and I have the awesome privilege after years of struggling with infertility to do the same for our children. The Lord is gracious and kind. Motherhood is definitely a journey, someone said that the days are long but the years are short. Isn't that the truth? Every day isn't easy but if we would start counting our blessings every day, they would truly outnumber the hard times of parenting.
