Stress-relief Tips this Spring

Are you feeling stressed, anxious or worried? You are not alone. Taking care of family, work load, sudden illness, loss and many life challenges can be overwhelming at times. As Christian women, we are not exempt from trials and suffering in this world. But, our hope is built on Jesus and His word is an anchor for our soul.
Today, we want to encourage you and give you practical tips to help relieve stress this Spring:
- Read the Bible and journal - daily Bible study and prayer, even as simple as one chapter a day is powerful to remind you how big our God is and that there is nothing too hard for Him (ex: Psalms, Proverbs or the Book of John is a good place to start). You can write down what you learned in a journal, jot down your prayer requests, questions and what you are grateful for every day. You will see that the good always outweighs the bad.
- Enjoy a walk outdoors - it's incredible how walking and getting fresh air can help relieve stress. According to Healthline, walking helps you burn calories, strengthen your heart, lower your blood sugar, reduce anxiety and improve your mood. It's important to make time to go for a walk daily or try another form of exercise.
- Listen to worship music - there are many anointed singers and musicians who use their gift from God to encourage the body of Christ. Songs inspired by the scriptures give us encouragement, remind us how much Jesus loves us and increase our faith in Him. You can listen and worship God in your car, at home, lunch break at work, church or wherever you are to lift your spirit. - Connect with others - sometimes you just need a hug or a friend to talk to when times are tough. Consider calling a friend who can pray with you, attend weekly services at church to fellowship and spend time with family and friends to laugh and enjoy a good meal. We are better together and we need one another. "Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing." ~1 Thessalonians 5:11
- Make your home smell like Spring - it's a good thing to refresh your home decor this spring and declutter to reduce stress and improve your focus.
